Recently, rental trends have maintained a gradual upward trajectory. The steady number of university students supports stable demand near the campus, and being within commuting distance to Philadelphia seems to be a factor increasing the influx of new residents.
For Korean households, the concentration of Koreans in Newark itself is not very high, so many often check the accessibility of Korean restaurants and Asian markets in the nearby Newark-Philadelphia area or near Christiana before making a decision. For families involved with the university or considering sending children to study abroad, prioritizing campus accessibility is advisable.
Ultimately, when looking for a 2-bedroom in Newark, it is practical to consider the semester schedule, distance to campus, and commuting to Philadelphia together. It is advantageous to schedule the contract signing with some flexibility before the semester starts for better negotiation.
