It is frequently used as a weekend getaway, being just a 10-minute drive from Palisades Park.

On the Hudson County side, there is Palisades Interstate Park. This park, which runs along the cliffs west of the Hudson River, spans New Jersey and New York and is famous for its scenic hiking trails with views of Manhattan.

Residents of Palisades Park can reach the park entrance in about 10 to 15 minutes, making it a popular destination for those looking to enjoy nature away from city life. Although it is a small town, residents of Palisades Park take full advantage of the various park infrastructures in and around the area to enjoy ample outdoor activities.
