Boston Airport and Train Station: A Guide to Transportation Convenience - Boston - 1

For those who travel frequently for business or leisure, knowing the airport and train station information is essential before settling in.

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is the gateway airport located in East Boston, Massachusetts.

It operates four terminals: A, B, C, and E, serving both domestic and international flights. While there are no direct flights to Korea, you can connect through JFK (New York), Seattle, or Chicago O'Hare to reach Incheon International Airport. Notably, you can travel from Boston to JFK, which has many flights to Korea, by either air or Amtrak train.

There are several ways to get from Logan Airport to downtown Boston. The MBTA Blue Line is the cheapest and fastest option. By taking the airport shuttle bus to the Airport station, you can reach downtown Boston via the Blue Line.

The Silver Line also provides direct service to South Station. Using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft can take about 20 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. The tunnel connects downtown Boston, but it can be congested during rush hour.

South Station is Boston's main rail and bus hub. Amtrak's Acela Express and Northeast Regional trains depart from here, connecting to New York Penn Station. The Acela takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to New York, while regular trains take about 4 to 5 hours. You can also catch Peter Pan or Greyhound buses from South Station. North Station serves the MBTA Commuter Rail to the northern suburbs of Boston.

Boston's North Station is located directly beneath TD Garden (home of the Celtics and Bruins). It is also a junction for the MBTA Green Line and Orange Line. Frequent travelers are encouraged to join the Amtrak rewards program.

If you often travel between Boston and New York, the point accumulation benefits are significant. For most business travelers, Boston is conveniently located on the Northeast Corridor, which connects to New York, Washington DC, and Philadelphia, making train travel very convenient.
