Clearwater Beach is the most frequently visited place near Tampa.

From the moment I drive across Tampa Bay early in the morning, I feel excited. As I pass over the Howard Franklin Bridge and the shimmering sea unfolds in my view, my heart shifts into summer mode. The first thing I notice upon arrival is that the air feels different. The smell of the sea, the hot sunshine, and the soft touch of the sand all rush in at once. The parking lot can be a bit crowded, but if you go a little early, you can find a spot right in front of the beach. The feeling of walking barefoot on the sand is truly the best. The dazzling white and fine sand feels like walking on flour.

When I set up my spot on the beach, the sound of the waves plays like background music. The color of the sea is literally 'emerald green.' Depending on the angle of the sunlight, it changes to turquoise, sky blue, and sometimes becomes crystal clear, which is much more beautiful in person than in photos. The water temperature is just right for swimming, making it safe for children and families. In the morning, it is relatively quiet, but as the afternoon progresses, it becomes lively with music and laughter. Next to the beach, there are bike rental shops and scooter rentals, adding to the fun of riding along the coast. Riding right next to the sea clears my mind completely.

At lunchtime, I eat a seafood platter or fish tacos at a small restaurant or bar across from the beach. Local favorites like 'Frenchy's' are always crowded, but that just means they are fresh and delicious. Pairing crispy fried shrimp with a beer is the perfect Florida lunch. Sitting by the window, I can enjoy my meal while looking at the sea, and even the slightly sticky breeze feels pleasant.

After the meal, I take a walk towards Pier 60. This pier is like a symbol of Clearwater. During the day, it is bustling with fishermen and tourists, and in the evening, street performances and a market open up. I can lose track of time while browsing accessories, photos, and portraits made by artists. There are also balloon art and street magic that children love. As the sun begins to set, everyone stops and looks at the western sky. Watching the sun slowly drop over the sea, the red light reflecting on the sand and water feels like a scene from a movie.

Once the sun has completely set, the atmosphere changes again. Lights turn on next to the pier, and live band music can be heard. At that time, walking along the beach, I feel more rejuvenated than tired. There are many hotels and bars nearby, making it great to spend another day. Opening a can of beer on the balcony of my accommodation while listening to the sound of the waves at night, there is nothing to envy in the world.

Clearwater Beach looks warm, from the color of the sea to the smiles of the people, and even the sky. Living in Tampa, there are times when I feel frustrated or tired in my daily life, but coming here makes those feelings disappear in an instant.
