The Homeland neighborhood has an average of $1,242, while Eastmorland, Heritage Heights, and Rolling Meadows are in the $1,370 range. These neighborhoods have good access to parks and amenities, providing a nice balance of cost and convenience.

The overall average rent in Madison is currently $1,833 per month, which is a 2.65% increase from a year ago. Studios average $1,288, two-bedrooms are around $1,964, and three-bedrooms are about $2,700. Due to Madison being the state capital and a college town, rental listings tend to drop sharply and prices rise in July and August before the semester starts.

If you move after the spring semester ends in May, your options will be much broader. For those looking to settle in Madison, it's important to remember that there can be significant rent variations between neighborhoods.
