The first time I visited downtown Dallas, I felt, 'Is Texas Dallas really such a sophisticated city?'

People often think of Texas as just vast fields overflowing with cowboys and cattle, but the downtown of Dallas is a completely different world.

With its shining skyscrapers, neatly organized streets, and artistic sensibility permeating everywhere.

As someone once said, it's not for nothing that this place is nicknamed the New York of the South.

But I wonder if I've really seen New York... I can't fully agree, haha.

Anyway, at night, the Bank of America Plaza shines with green lights, coloring the Dallas skyline.

At the heart of the city is Klyde Warren Park. This park, artificially created over a highway, is filled with food trucks on weekends and is packed with families on the lawn.

With the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center, art lovers will want to stay longer.

The fact that admission is free makes it easy for anyone to enjoy cultural activities, which is also appealing.

If you walk just a little west of downtown, you will find Dealey Plaza.

This is the famous site where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a convertible, and it has now been transformed into the Sixth Floor Museum, vividly showcasing that historical moment.

After sunset, the red sunset viewed from a rooftop bar evokes the unique leisure of Texas, while jazz band performances fill the streets, enhancing the atmosphere. Especially from the top of Reunion Tower, you can see the plains stretching far into the distance.

In fact, Dallas is one of the popular cities for retirees. The cost of living is relatively low, the quality of medical facilities is high, and the climate is mild. In particular, nearby cities like Plano, Frisco, and McKinney, which are 20-30 minutes by car from downtown, are known for their quietness and good security, making them preferred areas for retirees.

These areas are well-equipped with parks and golf courses, and the living infrastructure, including H Mart, shopping malls, hospitals, and Korean restaurants, is perfect. It's an ideal place for those who want to maintain convenience in life after retirement while enjoying the atmosphere of a quiet suburb.

For those looking for a new stage in life in Texas, Dallas seems to be an attractive option.
