The first hurdle for parents looking into private schools in Las Vegas is often, "What is the actual tuition?"
The numbers floating around online are usually from 2 to 3 years ago or are estimates from school information platforms, leading to significant discrepancies with actual bills.
For the same school, Niche lists $14,000, while Private School Review shows $12,700, but the official website states the tuition for the 2026-27 school year is $16,800. The figures below are all from the schools' official disclosures for the 2026-27 school year.
Bishop Gorman High School
Established in 1954, it is the only Catholic high school in the Las Vegas Diocese, located in the Summerlin area, with approximately 1,500 students in grades 9-12.
2026-27 Tuition
- Regular Tuition: $16,800
- Parishioner Tuition (with signed Parish Affidavit): $15,400
One often overlooked aspect is the non-refundable additional costs. The school has disclosed the following items.
| Item | Amount | Billing Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Application Fee (including HSPT) | $50 | At application |
| Transfer Student Fee | $100 | At application |
| New Student Registration Fee | $500 | After acceptance |
| Annual Registration Fee | $600 | July |
| Textbook Fee | $300 | August |
| Graduation Fee (12th grade) | $150 | — |
| Payment Processing Fee | $75 / $30 | By payment method |
| AP Exam Fee | $145 per subject | As applicable |
| Becoming A Gael (New Students) | $250 | June |
For new students, the total cost in the first year is around $18,500, which includes tuition of $16,800 and additional costs of about $1,700, with uniform costs being separate. Tuition can be paid in 11 installments starting July 1, 2026.
There are two important points to note. First, the parishioner discount ($1,400) does not renew automatically.
Each year, a new Parish Affidavit must be printed, signed by the assigned priest, and submitted to the school.
Second, Bishop Gorman does not offer academic or athletic scholarships. Only need-based financial aid is available, processed on a first-come, first-served basis through Blackbaud Financial Aid Management.
Returning students must reapply each year. New students must complete verification by February 6 to receive results by mid-March.

The Meadows School
Founded in 1984, this private school operates from preschool through 12th grade on the Summerlin campus.
With approximately 950 students, it has an 11:1 student-to-teacher ratio and offers 24 AP courses and Advanced Topics courses in higher education.
2026-27 Tuition (by grade level)
- Beginning School (Preschool): $24,350
- Lower School (K-5): $28,210
- Middle School (6-8): $31,030
- Upper School (9-12): $36,590
This is the highest price range among private high schools in Las Vegas, exceeding Bishop Gorman's tuition by double. Payment options include three choices.
- One-time payment: Full amount by July 1. Tuition insurance is optional.
- Two payments: 70% by July 1, the remainder by February 1. Tuition insurance is required.
- Ten payments: Equal monthly installments from July to April on the 15th. Tuition insurance is required, and automatic payment registration is mandatory.
The requirement for tuition insurance for the 2 and 10 payment plans significantly impacts the total cost, so be sure to confirm the amounts during consultations.
Financial aid is assessed through a third-party organization, Clarity, which evaluates families' ability to pay, and the school aims to meet full demonstrated need. However, it is on a first-come, first-served basis, and late applications depend on remaining funds.
Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School
This integrated school for grades 6-12 has about 2,000 students, making it the largest private school in Nevada and the largest Lutheran school in the U.S. The student-to-teacher ratio is around 16-17:1.
2026-27 Tuition
- Annual: $17,100 (monthly $1,710, paid July-April)
- Registration Fee (non-refundable): $1,000 — If not paid within 14 days of acceptance notification, the acceptance is canceled and goes to the waitlist
- Application Fee (non-refundable): $100
- Textbooks, uniforms, and program fees: Separate. Families purchase textbooks annually based on grade and courses taken.
Financial aid applications are submitted online through FACTS Management after January 1 each year and are determined based on available resources. Recipients are required to complete service hours, and the aid is not given as a lump sum but reflected in the payment plan. Registration fees, textbook fees, meals, and uniforms are excluded from aid eligibility.

The Adelson School
Located in the Summerlin The Hills area, this Jewish-affiliated PK-12 day school has a very low student-to-teacher ratio of 6-7:1. However, this school only discloses tuition information as a PDF image, making it difficult to verify mechanically, and figures from third-party sites vary widely from $19,000 to $30,000.
There is a common misconception in the Korean community. First, Las Vegas Day School (LVDS) is not a high school. It only operates from preschool to 8th grade. Tuition is approximately $20,200 for grades K-5 and about $21,300 for grades 6-8. The school's strength lies in its college pipeline, as about 60% of graduates go on to Bishop Gorman, while the rest attend The Meadows, Adelson, Faith Lutheran, or public magnet programs like Ed W. Clark Math and Science Magnet. Notably, LVDS states that it operates solely on tuition without any donations or grants.
Nevada has an Opportunity Scholarship (officially named the Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program).
- Maximum support amount per student for the 2026-27 school year: $10,367 (linked to the consumer price index, determined by the state education department)
- Eligibility: Household income below 300% of the federal poverty line — approximately $93,600 for a family of four
- No public school enrollment history requirement
- Use: Tuition, fees, transportation costs
However, there are significant practical constraints. The structure involves companies receiving a Modified Business Tax credit and donating to scholarship granting organizations (SGOs), resulting in a total fund of about $6.7 million, which benefits less than 1% of K-12 students statewide.
In fact, the major SGO, AAA Scholarship Foundation, did not accept new family applications for the 2026-27 school year due to lack of funds, only processing renewals for existing recipients and waitlisted applicants. The support amounts are also tiered based on income, with a maximum of $9,300 for those below 200% of the poverty line and $6,975 for those between 201-225%.
Additionally, a federal tax credit scholarship (FTCS) program will be implemented on January 1, 2027. Individual donors who contribute to approved SGOs can receive up to $1,700 in federal income tax credits, and Nevada is included among the 26 states that opted in as of January 2026.
The income criteria are set at 300% below the area median income, making it likely that a wide range of families in Clark County will qualify. However, detailed operational regulations are still in the process of being finalized, so it is necessary to check for the latest announcements.
Private schools in Las Vegas generally offer a rich array of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and community service, providing an environment where children can gain diverse experiences beyond academics. After COVID-19, many schools have established online and hybrid learning infrastructures, gradually enhancing flexible learning environments.
Detailed information about each school can be compared and verified on their official websites and school information platforms like GreatSchools.org and Niche.com.
