Overview of Changes by Generation

S22 Ultra

The "100 million pixels!" first appeared and looked impressive, but in reality, it only showed its true value after medium-low light RAW post-processing. The dual telephoto (3×·10×) is still legendary.

S23 Ultra

With the main sensor switching to 200 MP, the ISO and dynamic range have widened. Producing 50 MP RAW has also improved noise reduction. However, the 'new face' was only in the main sensor, so the thumbnail change wasn't drastic.

S24 Ultra

By removing the 10× and adding the 50 MP 5×, there were mixed feelings of disappointment for the loss of 10× vs. praise for the "fantastic" quality of 5×. Samsung's AI zoom remastering has definitely improved the close-up to original feel in both photos and videos.

S25 Ultra

The significant evolution in hardware specs is the upgrade to 50 MP ultra wide. In addition, all cameras support 4K 60fps·8K 30fps as standard, and thanks to the new 'Vision ISP', night shooting speed and noise have significantly decreased. Many reactions say, "The telephoto remains the same, but the video has definitely changed."">

Which model should you choose?

Price-performance balance → S23 Ultra. The first generation of 200 MP, but the current market price is reasonable.

Low-shake 5× life shot → S24 Ultra. Thanks to the 5× 50 MP, both landscape and portrait details are good, and 10× is decent with AI zoom.

Video and ultra wide desire → S25 Ultra. The combination of all cameras 4K60 / 8K30 + 50 MP ultra wide ensures clean vlogs and travel snaps.

For pen and camera beginners → S22 Ultra. The 'beginner's supreme' with S-Pen and dual telephoto, but the support period for the latest software is getting shorter.

Summary in One Line

  • Big hardware jump: S22 → S23 (108 → 200 MP)

  • Telephoto generation change: S23 → S24 (10× → 50 MP 5×)

  • Video and ultra wide completion: S24 → S25 (all camera 4K 60 fps, 50 MP ultra wide)

Whether you prioritize zoom photos, wide-angle landscapes, or 4K videos, you can choose without a chance of failure!
