New York was a city I had always wanted to visit at least once.
I had a strong desire to experience all the scenes I had seen in movies and dramas—the skyscrapers of Manhattan, the dazzling lights of Times Square, the greenery of Central Park.
From the moment I walked the streets of Manhattan on the first day of my trip, New York definitely gave the impression of being a different city.
The streets lined with closely packed buildings, the constant sounds of vehicles and footsteps, and the bustling atmosphere created a unique energy throughout the city.
Times Square was much more intense than I had seen in photos.
Even though it was night, the lights from the billboards illuminated the entire street, and the sounds of music and conversations from all around made the space feel even more vibrant.
People around me were naturally taking photos and enjoying the surroundings, and I blended into that atmosphere.
The next evening, I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Standing on the bridge and looking at the Manhattan skyline felt different.
The lights began to turn on between the skyscrapers, and the outline of the city in the distance became clearer.
The reflections of the lights on the East River added to the serene atmosphere.
The wind was colder than I expected, but the view was impressive enough to remain in my memory for a long time.
The next morning, I visited Central Park.
I had heard many times that there was such a large park in the middle of the city, but walking through it made it feel more real.
On the lawn, there were people jogging, families walking, and others resting on benches...
Just walking felt like a calming experience, a quiet time flowing by.
The most memorable scene of the trip was the sunset I saw again from the Brooklyn Bridge.
The sky began to turn red, and the buildings of the city were covered in warm colors.
Spending quiet time looking at the city from up there was quite a meaningful experience.
New York has its glamour, but it also has the natural aspects of life intertwined within it.
Busy streets coexist with tranquil riversides, and indifferent expressions flow alongside conversations filled with laughter.
The trip was short, but the time spent in New York gave me a feeling of stepping away from everyday life.
If I come back again, it seems like the city will show me another side.
In that sense, New York seems like it will remain in my memory for a long time.
