One of my favorite places to visit is Lighthouse Point Park Beach.

As the name suggests, it is a beach guarded by an old lighthouse, a perfect spot for family outings or peaceful walks alone, serving as a small pause in my daily life. It's not far from home, so on nice days, I can easily drive there without any special plans.

Walking along the beach, you'll see the tall white lighthouse built in the late 19th century, which gives a feeling of stepping back in time. Standing in front of the lighthouse and looking at the sea, the sound of the waves and the cries of seagulls create a truly peaceful atmosphere. In summer, families lounging under umbrellas, children building sandcastles, and people splashing in the water bring the beach to life.

In the morning, the air is fresh, making it great for a slow stroll along the beach, and in the afternoon, as the sun tilts westward, the sea sparkles with a golden hue, creating a beautiful scene. Photos taken here look like works of art, and just looking at the view brings peace to my mind. Especially at sunset, the scenery created by the lighthouse and the sea looks like a postcard.

There are picnic tables scattered around, so you can easily bring food to enjoy, and there's a playground where kids can happily run around. In summer, small carnival-like rides are set up, and local events or festivals take place. Therefore, on weekends, this place often feels like a neighborhood festival.

Walking while feeling the sea breeze helps clear my mind and relieve stress. Visiting in autumn is particularly appealing. With fewer tourists, walking along the quiet beach while listening to the sound of the waves allows me to fully experience the tranquility of the season. I occasionally visit in winter, where the cold wind makes the sea look rougher, but the lighthouse still stands firm, providing a strange sense of stability.

Nearby, there are small seafood shops and ice cream parlors, making it perfect for a quick stop after spending time at the beach. I find the most happiness when I walk along the beach with an ice cream cone in hand during summer.

This place shows a different face with each season, making me want to return again and again. In summer, it offers a vibrant sea; in autumn, a quiet walking path; and in winter, the silent scenery of the lighthouse provides a small comfort in my daily life. That's why I often find myself heading there whenever I have time. Walking on the beach, looking at the sea, and gazing at the lighthouse gives me the strength to return to my daily routine.

Lighthouse Point Park Beach is a precious treasure in my daily life living in New Haven.

Visiting often never gets boring; instead, it gifts me with new scenery and feelings each time.
