I work at a golf equipment wholesale company in Seattle, and although I haven't been in my career for long, I spend every day busily, but there is always one dream in my heart.

It is to visit the Colosseum in Rome.

Actually, I'm not the type to be obsessed with tourist attractions, but strangely, the Colosseum has captivated my heart for a long time.

Was I a gladiator or someone related in my past life?.. What a joke, haha.

Honestly, I know myself well... It must be because of the movies.

The scene where Russell Crowe stands in the middle of the arena in 'Gladiator', the story of blood and sweat unfolding in 'Spartacus'. I still vividly remember thinking as a child, 'Wow, a place like that actually exists... I definitely want to visit it someday.'

The Colosseum is not just an old building; it is an attractive space where people's lives and stories are condensed. Even just seeing it in photos is magnificent, but standing between those stone columns would probably be overwhelming to the point of taking my breath away.

To think that countless people cheered, cried, laughed, and even risked their lives inside... If I could stand there, even for a moment, I would surely have a memory I could never forget.

Realistically, it's not an impossible dream. With about $2000 for airfare and accommodation, I could manage to go.

But the problem is time, not money. Taking a long vacation from work is still not easy, and when it comes to spending a large amount of money, I hesitate. I need to save, and right now, I also have to focus on preparing for the future. So I always remind myself in my heart, 'someday' while concentrating on reality.

However, that doesn't mean the dream is diminishing. In fact, it seems to be growing. When I get tired at work or feel like every day is the same, I sometimes look for photos of the Colosseum online. I imagine standing there, seeing the shadows cast as the sun sets or its appearance under the blue sky.

'What would it feel like if I were standing there?' 'If I were looking at the same scenery as people thousands of years ago, what would I be thinking?' Imagining these things helps ease my tired heart a little.

Sometimes I even imagine my honeymoon. Most people think of romantic beaches like Hawaii or the Maldives for their honeymoon. But strangely, I always think of Rome and the Colosseum first.

Instead of sipping cocktails on the beach, a honeymoon taking photos in front of the massive stone columns might sound a bit funny.

But it feels much more special to me. If I could realize my long-held dream during the most important moment of my life, I wonder if there could be a more meaningful memory. If the person I'm with respects my dream and can go with me, it would be the most wonderful gift in my life.

Of course, I can't go right now due to a lack of time and money. But I will definitely go someday.

For me, the Colosseum is not just a travel destination; it is a small driving force in my daily life.

Every day is busy and tiring, but just having this dream in my heart makes me feel like I can live a little stronger.
