People often think about this.

It sometimes seems that those who succeed keep succeeding, while those who struggle continue to struggle.

So some people say, "This must be my fate," while others say, "No, I create my own life."

Neither statement is entirely wrong. However, both are only half the story.

Fate is not a completed script. It is more like the initial settings given to us.

Things like the country we are born in, our parents, family circumstances, height and personality, and experiences from childhood are the basic settings. We cannot choose these. So, in some aspects, fate does exist. The starting line is different for everyone.

However, those settings do not determine our entire lives. We see siblings raised in the same environment living completely different lives, and friends starting under similar conditions taking entirely different paths every day. Why is that? It is because of choices.

Every day, people make countless choices.

Whether to play a game or do homework.
Whether to exercise or lie down.
Which friends to hang out with and what to say.

As these choices accumulate, they form habits, and as habits accumulate, they shape a person's life. So, over time, the results may seem like a fate that was predetermined from the start.

So, is changing fate a matter of will or environment?

The answer is both. Will is the steering wheel. Environment is the road.

No matter how strong the will, if the road is a mess, it is hard to move forward. Conversely, even if the road is good, if you do not hold the steering wheel, you will go in the wrong direction. Therefore, the moment life changes occurs when will and environment move together.

For example, deciding "I need to exercise" is will. But if there is no place to exercise near home, you come home late every night, and people around you keep saying, "Why bother?" that will quickly fades away.

On the other hand, if there is a gym right in front of your house, friends invite you to go, and exercise time is already scheduled in your calendar, your body will naturally move even without a big resolution. This is the power of the environment.

So, the real way to change your life is not just to resolve to "become stronger," but to create an environment that encourages good choices. Removing game apps from your phone's home screen, placing books next to your bed, distancing yourself from people who belittle you—these small changes can transform your life.

As these changes accumulate, at some point, the results will differ. And seeing those results, people will say, "My fate has changed."

In summary, fate exists. The starting lines are different. But how we live on top of that is shaped by our daily choices.

The environment makes those choices easier, and will determines the direction.

Thus, fate is not a conclusion that falls from the sky.

Today's small choices accumulate to create a life that later appears to be fate.

So when life does not please you, do not just say, "This is my lot," but instead,

changing one thing at a time around you is the real beginning.
