I will share my experiences visiting Ohio State University (OSU).

This campus, located in the heart of Columbus, is truly large and feels like a small city.

From the moment I stepped through the entrance, I thought, 'This is why American university campuses are different.'

Each building is grand, and the lawns are wide open, with students sitting around studying or listening to music, while some are just enjoying the sunshine. That relaxed atmosphere was quite impressive.

At the center of the campus is a large park called The Oval, which is like a symbol of OSU. Like a scene from a movie, hundreds of students were sitting on the grass reading books, throwing frisbees, and chatting with friends, looking very free. On nice days, busking performances are held here, and sometimes small markets pop up.

As you walk along The Oval, buildings like Weidenhall and Thompson Library catch your eye, and the library's interior has a modern design combined with a classic feel, making it look great for studying.

With high ceilings and large windows letting in sunlight, it feels bright and not stuffy. OSU is one of the leading research universities in the U.S., so there are many labs and research buildings throughout the campus, and you can feel the students' passion.

The popularity of the Ohio State University football team, the Buckeyes, is truly amazing. During the fall season, the entire city is said to be dyed in red and gray.

Ohio Stadium, located on campus, can accommodate over 100,000 people, and on game days, the entire city of Columbus turns into a festive atmosphere. I envied their passion for enjoying sports as more than just a game, but as a culture.

Surrounding the campus are cafes, bookstores, brunch restaurants, and shops selling OSU merchandise for students. Especially, High Street is the main street for OSU students, filled with music at night and youthful energy. I really enjoyed walking down this street with a cup of coffee during the time when the evening sunlight turns red.

I felt I could truly experience the free and open atmosphere of American universities. What impressed me most about visiting OSU was not the 'scale' but the 'passion.' The students felt a strong sense of collaboration while studying and a connection to the community.

The school felt like a community that nurtures people, not just a place to study. The phrase 'Go Buckeyes!' is engraved all over the campus, and it felt like not just a slogan but the pride of the OSU community itself.

On my way back, I bought a mug with the Buckeyes logo from the school souvenir shop. It may be a simple souvenir, but I wanted to capture the passion and warm energy I felt here.

Ohio State University is a place that goes beyond being just a prestigious university; it truly feels like a 'people-oriented university.'
