In fact, I am not one to enjoy thrills.
I only ride roller coasters at Magic Mountain because of peer pressure.
The reason I went to Knott's Berry Farm a few years ago was purely because I thought, "Let's just take a leisurely look around."
I heard it was less crowded than Disneyland and that the rides were of moderate intensity, so I went...
That day, I was genuinely surprised.
The entrance to Knott's Berry Farm is more ordinary and charming than expected.
The 'Ghost Town' area, which recreates an Old Western style town, was also attractive, and the restaurants with the smell of barbecue were impressive.
So I let my guard down. I thought this was just a place to take pictures and stroll around.
But the problem came next.
I succumbed to my friend's persuasion to "just try one ride" and boarded the 'Xcelerator'.
What the heck, two seconds later, the ride shot up vertically like crazy and then plummeted,
and with overwhelming acceleration and fear, I opened my eyes to find I couldn't even scream.
With the world spinning and a continuous shocking sensation,
it was so scary that I thought, 'Is this reality?'
And it didn't end there.
The 'Silver Bullet' had so many spins in the middle that I lost count,
and 'GhostRider' made me question if a wooden roller coaster should shake that much. The G-force felt like that of a fighter pilot...
After riding all of these, my legs were weak, my friend was laughing, and I wanted to cry.
Of course, there is also a space for children.
The 'Camp Snoopy' area was cute and quiet. I just looked around...
But there were still enjoyable things.
The smoked chicken was really delicious, and the blackberry jam lived up to the 'Berry Farm' name.
But the rides... even thinking about them again is no joke.
To summarize, thinking of Knott's Berry Farm as just a 'family theme park' is a big misconception.
It's more thrilling than Disneyland and rawer than Adventure.
You need to be mentally prepared to ride.
Even someone like me uses up all my energy after just one ride.
To those who haven't been yet, I say,
"If you take it lightly, you'll get hurt badly...."
