NBA Finals Game 1 at 7:30 PM Tonight - San Antonio - 1

The day has finally come. For those living in San Antonio, our Spurs are taking the stage in the Finals tonight.

And it's at our home, the Frost Bank Center. The opponent is the New York Knicks. This matchup, which last occurred in 1999, is a fateful Game 1 that has returned after 27 years.

After work, grab a cold beer and relax at home; I'll outline how and where you can watch the game.

The most straightforward way is to just turn on ABC on your TV.

All Finals games in the U.S. are exclusively broadcast on ABC, and our local San Antonio ABC is channel 12, KSAT.

If you have cable like Spectrum or satellite like DirecTV or Dish, just tune in to channel 12. If you've cut the cable, don't worry.

As long as you have a digital antenna (HD antenna) at home, you can catch channel 12.1 for free, and in clear high definition.

The game starts at 7:30 PM, but since it's the Finals, the pre-game show starts early, so I recommend tuning in around 7 PM.

These days, many people use streaming instead of cable. There are plenty of options for those folks too.

The most reliable are YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV. They catch local ABC well, so it's perfect for watching on your phone during your commute and then switching to the TV at home.

If you mainly watch sports, FuboTV and DirecTV Stream also include ABC.

If you have an account with a TV provider, whether it's cable or YouTube TV, you can log into the ESPN app and watch the ABC feed directly.

Fubo and DirecTV also offer free trials for new subscribers, so if you haven't tried them yet, take advantage of that. Just keep in mind that local ABC broadcasts may not be available on Sling TV's low-cost plans or with an ESPN+ standalone subscription. Be sure to check that ABC is coming in properly before the game starts.

Tonight, the Knicks will come out strong, but we need to drown that out with the cheers of home fans.

You know that the team that wins Game 1 sets the tone for the entire series. Taking control early is crucial.

If you want to watch with others outside your home, hurry up. Local pubs near Loop 410 or I-35, like Workons or Esquire Tavern, will be packed with Spurs fans from the afternoon.

Tonight at 7:30 PM. Let's gather in front of the TV and cheer on our Spurs to take the first win against the Knicks in the Finals.

Go Spurs Go!
