Major Traveling Circus Troupes Currently Active

1. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus

This legendary circus, which closed in 2017, has been revived in 2023 in a new animal-free format. It currently showcases human-centered performances such as aerial acts, trampoline, and stunt biking while touring across the U.S.

2. Circus Vargas
Based in California, this circus uses traditional big-top tents and offers family-friendly performances. Since 2010, it has stopped animal performances and showcases human-centered tricks.

3. Circus Smirkus
This non-profit youth circus operates primarily in Vermont and tours the New England area during the summer. International youth performers participate, showcasing tricks from various cultures. 

4. Venardos Circus
Combining Broadway-style production with traditional circus, this circus started in 2014 and is touring across the U.S. It aims for human-centered performances without animals and has performed in San Antonio.

5. Cirque Kikasse
This mobile circus, which started in Quebec, Canada, utilizes food trucks as a stage to present a unique performance that combines acrobatics and food. It is scheduled to perform in New Haven, Connecticut, in May 2025.
