Is there any content as entertaining as the Korean dramas we enjoy even while living in the U.S.?
Popular content searched in Korean includes drama titles like Queen of Tears, Lovely Runner, and Marry My Husband. Other frequent Google searches include Pyramid Game, A Killer Paradox, Jeong Nyeon, and The Black and White Chef.
There are also many searches for K-Pop, with rising terms like RIIZE, NCT WISH, and NCT DREAM. Song titles like Bam Yang Gang, Magnetic, and Heya also appear, often due to curiosity about melodies frequently heard on YouTube Shorts or TikTok rather than having listened to them in Korea.
When we crave flavors that are never sold in American stores, we turn to the search bar. It seems we often search for Ryu Soo-young's recipes, Mille-feuille Nabe, smoked duck dishes, pork ribs, Nabak Kimchi, and Dookki Tteokbokki.
While living in the U.S., keywords like MissyUSA, Radio Korea, Job Korea USA, Orange County Korean community, and LA Koreatown stand out. Searches for financial tech for Korean-Americans and U.S. visa information are also evident.
It seems that searching in Korean is still necessary to find accurate information.
I'm glad that Google seems to be paying more attention to Korean search functionality.
Back around 2019, Google's Korean search was so poor that it would often return irrelevant information about the U.S. stock market...
