Cape Flattery in Neah Bay, Washington, truly makes you feel like you are standing at the 'end of the world'.
You reach this place by driving to the end of the Olympic National Park Peninsula along a narrow, winding road.
Cape Flattery is the westernmost point of the continental United States, and right next to it, the fierce waves of the Pacific crash against the cliffs, creating a spectacular view.
This area belongs to the Makah tribe, so you need to purchase a Makah Recreation Pass to enter.
The trail from the entrance to the viewpoint takes about 30 minutes, and it can be slippery the day after it rains.
However, the sounds of birds, the smell of earth, and the light filtering through the trees make you feel like you are in a completely different world.
At the moment the sea reveals itself at the end of the trail, anyone would be left breathless in awe.
Below the cliffs lies a deep blue sea, and the waves continuously crash against the rocks, creating white foam.
On clear days, the view extends far out to sea, but on cloudy days, fog rolls in, creating a mystical atmosphere.
On windy days, the sea spray lightly touches your face, bringing the cold saltiness and the vivid scent of the Pacific.

Cape Flattery is adjacent to Olympic National Park, making it a must-see for anyone traveling in the area.
Olympic National Park is one of the most renowned natural treasures in the United States, showcasing coastal cliffs, ancient forests, and snow-capped mountains.
In particular, the Hoh Rain Forest, thanks to its maritime climate, is densely covered with moss and ferns, giving the feeling of walking through a forest from a movie.
Additionally, the southern Ruby Beach is famous for its unique scenery created by red pebbles and massive rocks.
The sea viewed from the Cape Flattery viewpoint shows different colors with the seasons.
In summer, it turns a deep navy blue, while in winter, it shifts to a grayish teal, changing its expression depending on the sunlight.
Standing on the cliffs and looking down at the sea, you realize how small humans are and how vast nature is.
As I grow older, I feel that such landscapes are not just 'tourist spots' but spaces that cleanse the heart.
Listening to the sounds of birds and the wind in the forest path, Cape Flattery is a place that is too precious to be captured in just photos.
It is a place that you must truly feel the wind, the scent, and the tranquility to fully understand.
Experiencing the view of the sea from the end of the world was truly the best trip.
