Living in San Antonio, the Spurs game results are a common topic of small talk among locals, and fans can surely relate, right?

Lately, the Spurs' performance has been a bit inconsistent, so there hasn't been much exciting news, but last night's win against the Orlando Magic, 112 to 103, was refreshing.

In fact, this game was chaotic even before it started.

Originally scheduled for 3 PM, our players were delayed by a snowstorm in Charlotte and a plane malfunction, causing the game to start a whopping five hours late.

Usually, when the schedule gets messed up like this, players feel sluggish and their performance suffers, but this time it was the opposite. After spending almost a whole day on the ground (or rather, at the airport) and coming off a previous loss, they quickly took the lead within the first five minutes by sinking the first three shots, and I thought, "Today is going to be good."

At the center of it all was our 'alien' Wembanyama.

He scored 25 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and had 5 blocks. Honestly, I was worried he might not play due to calf pain right up until the game.

He got the go-ahead to play just 30 minutes before tip-off, and right from the start, he dunked over Wendell Carter Jr. with a finger roll and a two-handed dunk, which really deflated Orlando's spirits. Wemby's incredible height is always astonishing to watch.

Of course, it wasn't just Wemby who played well; it was a satisfying victory overall. Devin Vassell contributed 16 points, and rookie Dillon Harper added 15 points. Especially, De'Aaron Fox's 14 points and 10 assists helped stabilize the game. With the scoring spread out rather than focused on one player, it was enjoyable to watch.

Orlando wasn't an easy opponent either. Desmond Bane scored 25 points, keeping them in the game, and Paolo Banchero also delivered with 19 points and 10 rebounds. They had arrived in San Antonio early to rest and wait, but we managed to beat them in a late-night game after a rushed return, which feels truly valuable.

Honestly, the current Spurs are not a perfect team in every game. Being a young team, they can be inconsistent and sometimes make ridiculous mistakes. However, seeing them maintain focus and overcome challenges like yesterday's worst conditions and schedule gives me confidence that we are heading in the right direction.

In San Antonio, the Spurs mean more than just a team. A victory like yesterday's provides energy beyond just the record.

It was a night where I went to bed smiling thanks to the Spurs.

Let's keep the momentum going and hope for a winning streak! Go Spurs Go!
