Spurs Lose by 1 Point in NBA Finals Home Game 2 - San Antonio - 2

Oh no... what a frustrating day this is.

The Spurs have once again bowed down in the Finals home game 2.

And it was by just 1 point.

In the beginning, the Spurs were leading well, but then they got caught by the Knicks and fell behind by 10 points before tying the game.

If they had just scored one more basket in the last 7 seconds, it would have been a comeback win....

Anyone who has watched basketball knows that losing by 1 point like this drives you crazy more than losing by 10 or 20 points.

I couldn't sleep all night, thinking, "If only that shot had gone in," or "If only I had been more careful with that pass," replaying the game in my head over and over.

The most striking moment of today's game was definitely our Wembanyama's last shot. ㅠㅠ

When the ball finally got into Wemby's hands just before the game ended, everyone must have jumped up and shouted, "Yes!"

But it didn't go in and hit the rim instead.

Seriously, the atmosphere in the living room turned cold, and it felt like losing a country.

To be fair, Wemby did play the role of the ace today.

He scored a lot, grabbed rebounds, and his presence on defense was undeniable.

However, his efficiency throughout the game was quite poor.

The Knicks players were coming at him fiercely, trying to shut him down, which led to several turnovers.

But that's how sports are.

Even if you struggle throughout the game, if you hit that buzzer-beater at the end, all mistakes are forgiven, and Wemby becomes a hero.

Since that didn't happen, that's why it hurts so much.

On the other hand, the hero of today's game for the Knicks was Josh Hart.

Even though he didn't score much, he was everywhere on the court, grabbing rebounds, assisting, and stealing the ball. He really wore out the Spurs players.

What's shocking is that Hart, who is only 6 feet 5 inches tall, grabbed more rebounds than Wemby, who is 7 feet 4 inches tall.

It reminds us once again that basketball isn't just about height; hustle plays are half the battle.

And the truly scary one was Jalen Brunson. It looked like his knees and ankles were all messed up, yet he managed to score at crucial moments like a ghost.

In the final moments of the fourth quarter, he was doing everything to finish the game.

In comparison, our Spurs lost focus at the end again. With anxious minds, passes went to the wrong places, and silly mistakes happened...

But what can we do? The series isn't over yet.

The Finals are a best-of-seven series, right?

Still, I have a feeling that the last scene will keep flashing before my eyes until I go to bed tonight.

Coincidentally, as the game started, rain began to fall in San Antonio, just like my mood, making me think of having a drink.

Sports are such that after crying today, there will be another game tomorrow. Now the Spurs need to gather their strength and make a proper comeback.

Wemby must feel the most heartbroken about missing that last shot.

But I have no doubt that he will turn this disappointment into motivation and come back as an even scarier monster in the next game.

Go Spurs!
