Asians, including Koreans, make up about 4% of the population. This 4% is considered high for Texas.
Additionally, the Latino population accounts for nearly 40% of the total population, so hearing Spanish on the streets is not unusual.
Dallas has quite a few famous affluent neighborhoods. It features grand mansions and gardens that look like they belong in a movie.Among them, the top seven are as follows.

First is Highland Park.
Located about 4 miles north of downtown Dallas, Highland Park is a small upscale residential area in Texas's Dallas County. The population was approximately 8,864 in 2020, but it slightly decreased to around 8,700 in 2022. However, regardless of the population size, it is still considered one of the wealthiest and most sophisticated neighborhoods in Dallas.
This area has excellent transportation accessibility. It is close enough to reach downtown in just 10 minutes by car, yet the atmosphere is completely different. The streets are quiet and filled with trees, harmonizing old luxury mansions with modern remodeled homes. The school district is excellent, and there are high-end restaurants and shopping spots like Highland Park Village, contributing to a high standard of living.
In terms of income levels, the median household income in this area is several times higher than the overall average in Dallas. Many professionals, such as corporate executives, doctors, and lawyers, reside here, and it is often referred to as 'Park Cities' along with the neighboring University Park. Overall, Highland Park is a place where you can enjoy a quiet and safe environment while having access to the city and a prestigious residential setting.

Second is the adjacent University Park.

Here, the youthful atmosphere of the university campus naturally blends with the luxury of the affluent residential area.
Within the SMU campus is the iconic McFarlin Auditorium, where cultural events such as lectures and concerts by famous personalities are frequently held. The Meadows Museum houses Spanish art from the 15th century to the present, earning it the nickname 'the Prado Museum of America' due to its high quality.
Surrounding the campus is a small commercial center called Snider Plaza, which features relaxed cafes, sandwich shops, boutiques, and hair salons, making it a common gathering place for residents and students. For families, Caruth Park is very popular. It has lawns, walking paths, a fishing pond, and a playground, making it bustling with people on weekends.
University Park is generally a safe and well-maintained neighborhood with a very high level of school districts and strong community ties. Although home prices are several times higher than the Dallas average, it is considered one of the most preferred residential areas for those seeking a quiet and upscale environment.
The third is Preston Hollow. This area is also famous for being home to many celebrities in Dallas. The spacious estates and tree-lined streets are impressive. You can feel a quiet yet sophisticated atmosphere here.
