Quick and Hearty Kimchi Stir-Fried Pork with Frozen Kimchi Marinade - Las Vegas - 1

When you feel too lazy to go grocery shopping and think it's a waste to order takeout,

having just one batch of frozen kimchi stir-fried pork ready in the freezer can quickly provide a hearty meal.

I sometimes make a large batch of kimchi stir-fried pork and store it in portions in the freezer. It's really convenient to take it out on busy days or when I don't have enough side dishes.

How to Make Kimchi Stir-Fried Pork

First, cut the pork into bite-sized pieces. If the kimchi is too large, chop it into smaller pieces.

Heat a pan sufficiently, add a little cooking oil, and stir-fry the seasoned pork and kimchi together.

Once the meat starts to change color, add onion and king oyster mushrooms and continue to stir-fry.

When the pork is fully cooked and the vegetables are slightly wilted, turn off the heat.

Seasoning for 600g of Pork

2 tablespoons of gochujang, 2 tablespoons of gochugaru, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of cooking wine, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of oligosaccharide or corn syrup

1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, a pinch of pepper, a little ginger powder (optional), and 1/2 stalk of chopped green onion

Let's make kimchi stir-fried pork using the frozen kimchi and a block of tofu.

For additional vegetables, I prepared onion, bell pepper, king oyster mushrooms, and green onion. These are all common ingredients found in the fridge and pair well with stir-fried pork.

First, heat the pan sufficiently and add just a little cooking oil. Once the pan is hot, add the kimchi stir-fried pork marinade and the additional ingredients and stir-fry.

The onion adds sweetness, while the king oyster mushrooms provide a chewy texture.

The green onion enhances the flavor with its unique aroma, and the bell pepper adds a crunchy texture and color.

Adding a bit more pepper while stir-frying enhances the umami flavor.

Stir-frying quickly over high heat prevents excessive moisture from the vegetables, making it even more delicious.

Especially for the bell pepper, it's better to stir-fry just enough to maintain its texture rather than cooking it too long.

Once the vegetables are suitably wilted, the kimchi stir-fried pork is complete.

Serve the finished kimchi stir-fried pork generously on a plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish.

The nutty aroma of sesame adds to the appealing look of the dish.

The spicy kimchi, savory pork belly, and crunchy vegetables combined make kimchi stir-fried pork a great dish to enjoy with a warm bowl of rice.

With just one batch of marinade prepared in advance, you can easily prepare a meal, making it a recommended home-cooked option for busy days.
