Which City in the U.S. Has the Most Beauties? Style Comes First - Los Angeles - 1

I've been living in the U.S. for over 20 years now.

At first, I was curious, "Which region in the U.S. has the most beautiful people?" But I found out that, unlike Korea, there aren't really set answers like "Daegu is a city with many beauties."

However, it's strange how the vibe definitely varies from city to city.

Even among Americans, it's common to hear comments like, "The women there are really different."

LA, where a polished appearance is the norm

I live in this area, so my objectivity might be compromised, but honestly, in LA, it's closer to saying, "There are few unkempt people" rather than "There are many pretty people."

With Hollywood, modeling agencies, and influencers all concentrated here, appearance is not just a competitive edge; it's a part of your resume.

When you go to a café in West Hollywood, you might see a woman at the next table in workout clothes who looks like she could be in an ad, and outside a Pilates studio, you'll see model-like bodies everywhere.

At first, I thought, "Wow, this place is no joke," but after about five years, I realized this is just the standard in LA.

Fitness, skin, teeth, and styling are all at a near-perfect level. I explain to my friends that it's most similar to the vibe in Gangnam, Korea.

Miami, a city with a high density of beauties

Honestly, I was shocked the first time I went to Miami. I thought LA was impressive, but Miami has a different density. From the moment you step off the plane, you think, "What is this place?"

When you go to South Beach, it's just unreal. The people walking around in swimsuits look like they just came from a model audition, and the group next to you sipping margaritas looks like a photoshoot. But there's a crucial difference from LA.

In LA, it feels like many women put effort into their appearance, while in Miami, it's all about natural energy.

Curvy bodies, sun-kissed skin, and a confidence that starts from the way they walk.

The reason for this is the unique demographic composition.

Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina... the beauty genes from all over South America are gathered in this small city.

Venezuela is the country that has produced seven Miss Universe winners, and Colombia is also a major player in the modeling industry, with many immigrants from these two countries settling in Miami.

And Spanish is the default language. From the airport, you hear more Spanish than English, and in restaurants, they play Latin jazz.

It feels completely different from the "America" imagined in Korea. Going to clubs at night is even more surreal.

The downside is that it's hotter and more humid than LA. If you go in August, you'll want to shower after just ten minutes of walking.

But that also makes tanning a natural part of life here.

New York, not pretty but intriguing

In New York, you can't just rely on a pretty face. Every time I go on a business trip to New York, I feel that this city is more about presence than looks.

When I'm having coffee in Soho, someone walks by every ten minutes that makes me think, "Who is that?"

But just because that person is striking doesn't mean they are a classic beauty. The style, the way they walk, and the overall vibe from head to toe create a different impression.

In LA, you see a pretty face and think, "Wow, she's beautiful," but in New York, you look at the whole person and think, "What is that aura?"

The reason for this is that it's the center of the global fashion industry. Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar all have their headquarters here, and during New York Fashion Week, models from all over the world gather.

Top agencies like IMG, Elite, and Ford are all headquartered in Manhattan.

From 180 cm models from Russia, Ukraine, and the Balkans to runway models from Africa and editorial models of Asian descent, the racial spectrum is extremely wide.

While LA represents the typical "pretty face," New York favors unique features instead.

And there's a unique vibe in New York. Black coats, black boots, and it looks like they hardly wear makeup, but if you look closely, it's all very calculated.

Even in the dead of winter, you see people stylishly wrapped in scarves taking the subway. This kind of look doesn't come out in LA.

This city is the most different from the beauty standards in Korea. But as you live here, many people become addicted to this vibe.

Every time I go on a business trip, I imagine, "What if I lived here?"—if only it weren't for the winter.

San Diego, the type that's pretty without trying

Surprisingly, I have to mention San Diego.

This is a place I occasionally visit on weekends, and the people here are pretty without trying.

There are many students and outdoor activities, so their skin is naturally healthy, and their bodies have a healthy line that looks like they just came from surfing.

It's not the vibe of heavy makeup and luxury brands like in LA; it's just t-shirts and jeans, but they look good.

Americans say, "The overall level is high along the California coast," and San Diego stands out for its healthiness.

I think it's a region where Asian female students particularly stand out.

Texas? The Dallas, Houston, Austin combo

Texas can't be grouped into one category. Each city has its own vibe, but there's one commonality: height.

People in Texas are genuinely tall. The average height in major cities is higher than the national average for both men and women. You might think it's because they raise cattle and eat steak.

Dallas is the epitome of a classic Southern beauty. Even Hispanic women tend to be tall, with distinct features and a polished style.

They have faces that seem like they could be finalists in an old Miss America pageant. Even Koreans would immediately say, "She's pretty."

Moreover, Dallas is a wealthy city in oil and finance, so there's definitely a culture of spending money on appearance. While it's not as extreme as LA, there are many elegantly maintained beauties.

When you go to the shopping mall in Highland Park, it feels like you've stepped out of an old drama set in Dallas.

Houston is a bit different. Houston is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the U.S.

Vietnamese, Mexican, Nigerian, and Indian communities all have significant presences, making the street diversity incredible.

While Dallas has refined beauties, Houston is an unpredictable city. If you go to cafes in Rice Village or Montrose, you'll see a truly diverse mix of faces.

Austin is completely different again. This is the city of the "hipster beauty." With tech companies, music festivals, and a college town vibe, there are many natural styles that look like they were put together effortlessly.

You see people with tattoos, wearing vintage dresses, typing away on their laptops in local cafes.

While Dallas represents the Southern belle, Austin is closer to an artist who moved from California. With Tesla and Oracle moving their headquarters here, the population has become much younger, and the vibe has changed as well.

By the way, Texas women are famous for their politeness. This is often mentioned alongside their appearance.

They naturally use terms like "ma'am" and "sir," and it's common to smile at strangers. This is often cited as another attractive point of Southern beauties.

Atlanta, a unique category

Atlanta is a city that should be viewed separately in the U.S. The reason it's often called "the capital of Black culture" is not just a simple image; it starts from the actual demographic composition.

According to recent data, Atlanta has a Black population ratio of about 45-50%, and the Black middle class in the metro area is considered the largest in the U.S.

This structure completely changes the city's vibe.

After visiting a few times for business, you can immediately feel it. The fashion sense and self-expression are definitely different.

It's not just about dressing well; there's a strong power in "pushing your own style."

With the hip-hop industry, reality TV, and beauty brands centered around this city, the standards of beauty are naturally created here.

So, rather than following trends like in other cities, it's more about creating them.

What stands out is the confidence. From expressions to walking styles and speech, there's an overall energy. This goes beyond mere appearance.

Another interesting point is the increase in the Asian population. In recent years, the Asian population in Atlanta has been rapidly growing, creating a structure where various styles of beauty coexist.

So, when you walk down the street, you can see a completely different combination of attractions with Black, White, Latin, and Asian people all mixed together.

Hawaii, the cheat code

Hawaii is a cheat code. The faces created by the mixing of Asian, Polynesian, and European ancestries over generations are genuinely natural and well-balanced.

Being a tourist destination, it's well-maintained, and the island's unique relaxed vibe adds to the overall appeal.

When I went on my honeymoon with my wife, I couldn't help but say, "Why are the people here like this?"

Since it's a tourist area, it's well-kept, and the overall relaxed atmosphere increases its charm.

I think it's also because this is a region where people from hotels and resorts gather in the U.S.

In conclusion, it's more accurate to say that the U.S. has "beauties by style" rather than "beauties by region."

It's not about which city has the most beauties, but rather which city has what style of beauties.

  • LA: The Complete Package — Beauties Created by Industry

Unlike Korea, where you can immediately think of a city as a city of beauties just by hearing its name.

I tell friends coming to the U.S., "Don't just visit one city; travel to two or three places to feel how vast the country is through its appearances."

I ultimately settled in LA, but I still feel a thrill whenever a business trip to Miami comes up.

The same goes for business trips to New York. I hope my wife doesn't read this article.
