The U.S. government has released more UFO materials!
But haha, reactions to this kind of news aren't what they used to be.
"They released a few blurry videos again," "It's probably just another infrared video with a dot," is the general vibe.
After decades of dragging this story along like a tease, most people view it with a half-skeptical attitude.
This time, many of the released materials are, as expected, videos of light streaks, photos of something flying and shining, and records of unidentified object sightings.
There are also many trivial materials. From the government's perspective, they never make definitive statements like "we saw aliens."
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), anomalous object, unidentified aerial object...
The terminology keeps changing. It feels like they just rebranded the term UFO because it had too much of a conspiracy theory vibe.
However, there is a significant part of the released materials that should be noted.
It's the fact that official records related to the Apollo moon landing program were actually included.
In fact, there have been ongoing stories about "Apollo astronauts seeing something" for a long time. These have circulated endlessly on conspiracy theory YouTube channels.

But most of it was just unverified rumor level.
There were all sorts of stories about NASA hiding things, communications being deleted, and seeing something on the far side of the moon.
This time, the key point is that the U.S. government officially included observation records related to Apollo missions 11, 12, and 17 in the released materials.
Buzz Aldrin reported seeing light repeatedly in the cabin during the Apollo 11 flight, and that information has also been released.
Records of seeing a bright source that looked like a laser, parts where astronauts on Apollo 12 described "light floating in space," and descriptions of rotating bright particles that looked "like a Fourth of July fireworks" from Apollo 17 were all included in the official documents. Of course, the important thing here is not that the government "acknowledged aliens." That's not the case at all.
Rather, if you look closely at the documents, the government draws a line. They explain what can be explained and leave what cannot be explained as simply unidentified.
In my view, the reason this release is significant is that it officially acknowledges that "UFO phenomena actually existed in the U.S. space program."
In the past, such stories would have immediately been treated as conspiracy theories.

Now, the government itself has reached the point of saying, "We can't explain everything."
Interestingly, even with this information being released, the world doesn't seem too surprised.
Rather, people's reactions are at the level of, "So, do aliens exist or not?" With so many sensational stories in the internet age, even the release of actual government documents is consumed like entertainment.
Moreover, trust in the U.S. government itself isn't what it used to be. Many people respond with, "Aren't they just pretending to disclose everything while hiding the important stuff?"
Honestly, if you look at it coldly, this release is closer to a controlled disclosure than a complete truth revelation.
There are criticisms that many of the released materials are just repackaged information that was already known.
However, even amidst this, the inclusion of official records related to Apollo is quite a symbolic moment in history.
The first moon landing project of humanity has now left behind new questions beyond just a story of Cold War victory, asking, "What exactly did we see in space back then?"
