According to the representative music magazine Rolling Stone in the United States, BTS's 'Spring Day' has ranked 37th in the '250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century'.

Other K-pop groups like BLACKPINK, Girls' Generation, and NewJeans also made the list, but 'Spring Day' achieved the highest ranking.

Rolling Stone praised it as "the representative song of BTS, one of the biggest pop groups of the 21st century," stating, "'Spring Day' transforms personal sorrow into a dynamic power ballad."

"The emotions of recovery and hope that bloom amidst loss resonate deeply across borders, and that success led to BTS's global leap. 'Spring Day' showcases the strong bond in their music," it added.

The starting point of this song is 'longing'.

The lyrics, which begin with "I miss you / Saying this makes me miss you even more," delicately capture the longing that has settled in the heart over a long time, rather than just the pain of parting.

The longing for a loved one, a distant friend, or someone who has left envelops the entire song. It is said that leader RM participated in the lyrics, including a comforting message: "Winter will pass, and spring will come again."

'Spring Day' has actually been a long-running hit since its release, sweeping the charts. It remains the longest-charting song in K-pop history on the Melon chart, and even after seven years, it is still regarded as a song of comfort by many.

The music video is also famous. The abandoned train station, the empty amusement park, and the snow-covered fields all symbolize parting and waiting. The members standing in different spaces and eventually coming together in one scene convey the message that "even if we are far apart, our hearts are connected." At the end, as the spring sunlight shines and the camera slowly pulls away, it seems to resonate with the viewer's heart.

This is why 'Spring Day' is regarded as more than just a simple emotional ballad; it sings of both loss and hope. It is a well-made song that captures the listener instantly with deep emotions that seep through its gentle melody, rather than relying on flashy choreography or explosive sounds.

Without depending on elaborate English lyrics, 'Spring Day' conveys sincerity through its Korean lyrics, and it can be seen as setting a new standard for K-pop by touching the hearts of millions around the world.

International fans describe this song as "Spring Day feels like a warm hug." This means that even if the language is different, that warm feeling is conveyed just the same. In fact, 'Spring Day' has become a symbol of comfort among fans. On tough days, when feeling lonely or sad, it is a song that one returns to. And every time you listen, that line "Winter will pass, and spring will come" holds your heart.

In the end, it seems that human hearts are all the same.
