Today's news reports that Congressman Jimmy Gomez, who represents downtown Los Angeles and Koreatown, is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee regarding allegations of sexual misconduct.

According to reports, this investigation began at a social gathering in Washington, DC, in 2023. Allegations were raised that Gomez, who is married, had an inappropriate relationship with a young female staffer from another congressional office.

At the time, he denied the allegations, but it is now known that the Ethics Committee has identified additional sexual misconduct allegations during their review.
