The first place to mention is Viridian. Located in the northeastern part of Arlington, it is a large master-planned community covering about 2,000 acres. Hundreds of acres of lakes, wetlands, and nature reserves have been developed, giving the entire community a resort-like atmosphere.

The biggest appeal of Viridian is its focus on newly built homes and well-planned community facilities. Walking paths, a kayak launch, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a clubhouse are all systematically managed. As of 2026, typical home prices start in the upper $500,000s, while luxury homes often exceed $1 million. Some waterfront properties and large luxury homes can even sell for over $1.5 million. While it may not be considered an ultra-high-end area in the DFW region, it is regarded as one of the most upscale residential areas in Arlington.

The second is Interlochen. This area has long been referred to by Arlington residents as the "real affluent neighborhood."

It has a different vibe from the flashy new developments. Massive oak trees and lush street canopies have enveloped the entire neighborhood for decades. The roads are not straight but winding, giving the feeling of entering an old luxury resort.

Interlochen is particularly famous for its Christmas light decorations. Every year, countless visitors come to see them.

Home prices generally start around $600,000, but larger homes or properties with lake views often exceed $1 million.

Some large estates are listed for over $1.5 million. Additionally, many homes are included in the desirable Martin High School district, which adds a significant school district premium.

We cannot overlook the upscale communities near Butler Place in the southwest and Mansfield ISD. This area has many relatively newly developed homes with modern structures and good energy efficiency. Homes with spacious garages, high ceilings, and large kitchens are common. Prices range from about $450,000 to $700,000, with some luxury homes exceeding $800,000.

Particularly, families who prefer the Mansfield ISD school district are consistently drawn to this area, maintaining steady demand. Thanks to the safe atmosphere and well-maintained streets, it is also a region of interest for Korean families.

The area around Lake Arlington in northern Arlington is also considered a hidden affluent neighborhood. Homes with lake views are sold at higher prices than typical listings. The living environment allows for morning walks or bike rides while looking at the lake, making it popular among retirees and professionals.

Interestingly, the prices of these upscale residences are still relatively affordable compared to other major cities in the U.S.

The overall median home price in Arlington is about $320,000. In contrast, neighborhoods considered affluent like Viridian or Interlochen range from $600,000 to over $1 million, but compared to areas like Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, Scarsdale in New York, or Southlake in North Dallas, you can purchase larger lots and luxury homes at much lower prices.

Ultimately, Arlington is not just a city with stadiums and amusement parks. Behind the image of a sports city lies lakes and natural environments, excellent school districts, and surprisingly high-quality upscale residences. Therefore, when you actually go house hunting, you often find yourself saying, "Did I really not know there were neighborhoods like this in Arlington?"
