Maui Island in Hawaii is truly a paradise.

West Maui's Lahaina was once the capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom. It thrived as a center for the whaling industry in the past, but now it has transformed into a street of artists. Galleries, boutiques, and restaurants abound, and the street atmosphere is quite charming. Unfortunately, a major wildfire in 2023 caused significant damage, but the residents are working to restore the town. Everyone says, "Lahaina is the soul of Hawaii," and they are coming together to support it.

When it comes to Maui resorts, Kāʻanapali and Wailea are well-known. Kāʻanapali is a tourist hub with large hotels, shopping centers, and golf courses, and the sunsets here are truly beautiful. Wailea has a quieter and more upscale atmosphere. The ocean view from the infinity pool is like a scene from a movie.

Since the residents maintain Hawaii's traditional culture, places like farmers' markets are filled with homemade fruits, honey, coffee, and crafts. The sight of people greeting each other and laughing while ukulele music plays is heartwarming. It feels genuinely welcoming, not commercialized.
