It's a great multicultural festival to attend with kids.

In the fall, many residents look forward to the Sylmar Olive Festival. The Sylmar area has been known for olive farming for a long time, and this festival is held annually to commemorate that history. At the event, booths line up selling olive oil, various olive products, local produce, and handmade crafts.

Live performances and children's activities are also available, making it a popular event for families. Unlike large commercial festivals, this community event allows local residents to participate and create a warm atmosphere together.

At the end of the year, you can't miss the Holiday Tree Lighting event organized by the city of San Fernando. This Christmas tree lighting ceremony takes place in a plaza near the city hall, featuring live performances, carols, and children's programs.
